Mold remediation in West Palm Beach, FL is rarely about the patch of black you can see on a wall. It is about the moisture that put it there and the spore load that has been building in the rest of the house while you were looking at that one spot.

Pure Maintenance Mold Removal is based in North Palm Beach, fifteen minutes up US-1. Mike Pierce is a Florida-licensed mold assessor and mold remediator, and he works the jobs himself alongside Noah. You will not get a sales rep and then a stranger with a truck.

When To Act

When West Palm Beach homeowners should call.

A musty smell that comes back every time the AC cycles off. Allergy symptoms that clear up when you leave the house for a weekend. Food on the counter going bad faster than it should. Those are the three things people describe most often when they call us.

Visible growth is the obvious trigger. So is a roof leak, a slab leak, a failed AC condensate line, or a supply line that let go while you were away. In this climate mold starts growing on wet drywall inside about a day.

If you are buying or selling in Flamingo Park, Northwood, El Cid or one of the downtown towers, a test before closing is cheap compared with finding out afterwards.

Why West Palm Beach houses grow mold.

West Palm Beach has two very different housing stocks and both have their own problem. The pre-war and mid-century houses west of Flagler were built before anyone designed for air conditioning. They have shallow attics, original ductwork in some cases, and slabs that wick moisture.

The downtown and Northwood condo stock has the opposite issue. Those buildings are sealed tight, which is efficient until a riser leaks behind a wall or a neighbor's unit floods and the water tracks along the slab into yours. Shared walls mean a moisture problem is often not yours alone.

Add outdoor humidity that sits in the seventies most of the year and an oversized AC that cools the air quickly without pulling much water out of it, and you have the conditions mold wants.

The Process

What treatment looks like.

We start with testing. Air samples, surface samples where they are warranted, and a walk of the house looking for where the water is coming from. The lab tells us what is actually growing and how much of it there is, so we are treating a measured problem rather than a guess.

Treatment is a vapor process. We fill the treated space with a sterilant vapor that reaches into wall cavities, the attic, the AC ducts and the back of closets, then follow it with an antimicrobial protectant that stays on the surfaces. There is no plastic sheeting and in most cases no demolition.

Then we test again. Post-treatment clearance samples go to the same accredited lab, and you get the results. Most West Palm Beach homes are treated in a single visit and you are back in that evening.

Pricing

What it costs.

Every job is priced after we test, not before. The two things that move the number are the square footage we have to treat and how much of the house needs a wipe-down first. A condo and a five-bedroom house are not the same job, and we do not pretend they are.

You get the price in writing before we book the work. If testing shows you do not have a mold problem, we tell you that and you pay for the testing only. That happens more often than you would think.

Why Pure Maintenance Mold Removal

Why people here call us.

Traditional remediation in this market often means containment, demolition, and a quote with a five-figure number on it. That approach treats the area the water reached and leaves the rest of the house alone.

We treat the whole house. That is the difference, and it is why the reviews from West Palm Beach owners talk about coming home the same day with their cabinets and drywall still in place.

Mike is licensed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as both an assessor and a remediator, and the work is backed by a written warranty. Ask us for the terms before you book.
